伝説のバンドNIRVANA "IN UTERO"ツアーのライブが1994年2月22日にローマで行われた際のコンサート会場にて前オーナーが購入したTシャツとなります。アートワークはイタリアのアーティストのAlessandro Locchi（アレッサンドロ・ロッキ）。カート・コバーンが死亡する直前（約40日前）に行われたライブという事と、あのAndy Warholのキャンベル缶のオマージュであり、アメリカを代表するアーティストNIRVANA とWarholの予想もしなかった奇跡の組み合わせは唯一無二のデザインです。NIRVANAファンはもちろんこと、現代アート好きの一部の間で伝説的な扱いを受けている作品となっています。現在のヴィンテージTシャツシーンをリードするNIRVANAのTシャツの中でも、NIRVANAの世界的コレクターであるHIKKI氏曰くご本人が所有しているものとこちらの2枚しか見たことがないという程、その現存数は極めて少なくアメリカの歴史が詰まった幻の一枚と言っても過言ではないのではないでしょうか。イタリアで行われた１DAY ライブで販売されたというストーリーも考慮すると、今後市場で流通されることは非常に限定的であり、コレクションピースかと思います。

This T-shirt was purchased by the previous owner at the venue when the legendary band NIRVANA performed on the In Utero tour in Rome on February 22, 1994. The artwork is by Italian artist Alessandro Locchi. As this show took place just before Kurt Cobain’s passing (approximately 40 days prior), and the design pays homage to Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans, the unexpected, almost miraculous pairing of the quintessential American band NIRVANA with Warhol results in a truly one-of-a-kind graphic.The piece has attained near-mythic status not only among NIRVANA fans but also within certain circles of contemporary art enthusiasts. Even among NIRVANA tees—an anchor of today’s vintage T-shirt scene—this example is extraordinarily scarce; according to HIKKI, a renowned global NIRVANA collector, he has only ever seen two: his own and this one. With its rarity and the weight of American cultural history it carries, it would not be an exaggeration to call it a “phantom” piece. Considering it was sold at a one-day show in Italy, future appearances on the market are likely to be extremely limited, making it a true collection-grade item.
