Following the death of Nirvana frontman and global rock icon Kurt Cobain on April 5, 1994, memorial T-shirts featuring images of him and the band were created in tribute. While most were bootlegs produced by fans around the world, this is an official example bearing a copyright notice. The front features a photograph of Kurt taken during MTV’s Live and Loud performance on December 13, 1993, while the back carries one of his memorable quotes.
