1991年8月27日、ドイツのブレーメンで開催されたÜberschall 91。メインを務めるSonic Youthに加え、スペシャルゲストとして、Gumball、そしてNirvanaが参加した歴史的なライブとなった。Sonic YouthとNirvanaの両バンドは、1990年のほぼ同時期にGeffenレコードに移籍したいわば同級生バンド。Nirvanaの『Nevermind』に先駆けてリリースされた、Sonic Youthのメジャー第1弾アルバム『Goo』のジャケットが、そのまま本公演のポスターに転用されている。ジャケットを手掛けたのは、現代アートの巨匠レイモンドペティボン。
奇跡的な三者の共演は、このシャツでしか見ることはできないだろう。NirvanaのヴィンテージTシャツをまとめた書籍にも掲載されている歴史的にも非常に価値の高い一枚ではないでしょうか。

On August 27, 1991, the festival Überschall 91 was held in Bremen, Germany. Headlined by Sonic Youth, the event also featured special guests Gumball and Nirvana, making it a truly historic live performance.Both Sonic Youth and Nirvana had moved to Geffen Records around the same time in 1990, effectively making them “classmate” bands of the same era. The poster for this show directly repurposes the artwork from Sonic Youth’s first major-label release, Goo, which preceded Nirvana’s breakthrough with Nevermind.The original album artwork was created by renowned contemporary artist Raymond Pettibon.This miraculous convergence of three acts is something that can arguably only be experienced through this shirt. It is also featured in publications documenting Nirvana vintage T-shirts, further underscoring its historical significance and making it a highly valuable collector’s piece.
