1988年リリースのSonic Youthの代表作「Daydream Nation」のアルバムアートワークを落とし込んだ一枚。フロントに描かれたキャンドルは、現在世界で最も注目を浴びる芸術家のひとりである Gerhard Richterが1982年に描いた「Candle (Kerze)」となります。大胆にデザインしたこのTシャツはミニマルでありながらアート性が高く、世界的にも非常に評価の高い一枚です。何度も復刻されているTシャツですが、バックプリントの入る当時のオリジナルはやはり別格の存在感かと思います。プリントのひび割れやボディの雰囲気も非常に良いかと思います。コピーライトあり

The candle printed on the front is Gerhard Richter’s 1982 painting Candle (Kerze), by one of the most celebrated contemporary artists in the world. Bold in its layout yet minimal in expression, it’s a highly regarded design globally. The graphic has been reissued many times over the years, but the original edition with the back print, like this one, has a truly unmatched presence.
