1988年リリースのSonic Youthの代表作「Daydream Nation」のアルバムアートワークを落とし込んだ一枚。フロントに描かれたキャンドルは、現在世界で最も注目を浴びる芸術家のひとりである Gerhard Richterが1982年に描いた「Candle (Kerze)」となります。大胆にデザインしたこのTシャツはミニマルでありながらアート性が高く、世界的にも非常に評価の高い一枚です。何度も復刻されているTシャツですが、バックプリントの入る当時のオリジナルはやはり別格の存在感かと思います。プリントのひび割れやボディの雰囲気、シルエットも非常に良いかと思います。コピーライトあり

A tee featuring the album artwork from Sonic Youth’s landmark 1988 release Daydream Nation. The candle on the front is Gerhard Richter’s 1982 painting “Candle (Kerze)”. Boldly executed, the design is minimal yet highly art-driven, and the piece is widely acclaimed worldwide. Although this T-shirt has been reissued many times, the original period version with the back print remains in a class of its own. The natural cracking of the print, the character of the body, and the silhouette are all excellent. Copyright present.
