This is a photograph of the cat "Amos" by photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. Mapplethorpe was very fond of Amos, who was the pet cat of his assistant Brian English, and it is recorded that he lived with him for a year from 1986 to 1987. For this reason, Brian English is credited, but Brian himself said that this shot is Mapplethorpe's artwork. It is made by Fotofolio, a familiar brand of art merchandising, and although the tag is missing, the body is thought to be Fruit of the Loom. This is a relatively rare piece.
