Directed by Nick Broomfield, the 1997 film Kurt & Courtney is a documentary exploring the relationship between Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, who died under mysterious circumstances in 1994, and his wife, Courtney Love, through interviews with people connected to the pair. The film is famously known for being unable to use Nirvana’s music following objections from Love, although its poster artwork features Kurt’s face. Unlike T-shirts associated directly with Nirvana, the band’s music, or memorial tributes, official merchandise produced for the film is relatively uncommon, making this a particularly collectible piece.
