1993年に限られたCHAPTから極少数発売(当時日本で発売されたのは数十着だけだったという噂もあるそう)され、現在でもSTUSSYの最重要アーカイブアイテムの一つとされているアイテム Stussy × Carhartt。「デトロイトジャケット」「チョアコート」「ベスト」がリリースされ、このコラボアイテムが発売されたニューヨーク、ロサンゼルス、東京の3都市の名前が胸に刺繍で施されています。(「デトロイトジャケット」「チョアコート」に比べても「ベスト」の球数はより少ない印象です。)色もしっかり残っており、大きなダメージもなく、シルエットやサイズ感もとても良いかと思います。ベストやチョアコート等もありますがSTUSSYコレクターの中でも最も人気が高いのは、このデトロイトジャケットと言われています。ストリートにおける最重要ブランド同士の最初期のコラボレーションは、コレクター感で取引され市場にでること自体が稀であり、今後時間が経過するにしたがって、その歴史的な価値は更に高まってくることが予測される大変貴重なコレクションアイテムかと思います。

Released in 1993 in very limited numbers by CHAPT—rumored to have been only a few dozen pieces for Japan—this Stüssy × Carhartt item is now regarded as one of Stüssy’s most important archive pieces. The collaboration included the Detroit Jacket, Chore Coat, and Vest, with the names of the three launch cities—New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo—embroidered on the chest. (Compared with the Detroit Jacket and Chore Coat, the Vest appears to have been produced in even smaller quantities.)
The color remains strong with no major damage, and the silhouette and sizing are excellent. While vests and chore coats exist, many Stüssy collectors consider the Detroit Jacket the most sought-after. As an early collaboration between two of streetwear’s most significant brands, it trades at a collector level and rarely appears on the market. Its historical value is expected to appreciate further over time, making it an exceptionally valuable collection piece.
